The demands of and requirements for medical technology are constantly increasing. We have established ourselves in this challenging and innovative market segment. EuropTec Polymer specialises in the manufacture of machined finished parts made from technical and high performance synthetics. These components are used in surgery, dental medicine, diagnostics and dialysis technology.

The manufacture of high-precision synthetic components is one of our most important core competences. We produce parts on state-of-the-art CNC-controlled milling centres, turning machines and longitudinal turning machines at our sites in Oftringen (Switzerland) and Zalaegerszeg (Hungary). Alongside the classic processing technologies, we also focus on different surface processing methods such as polishing, diamond cutting, blasting and vibratory grinding. In order to fulfil the required cleanliness standards for medical technology, all the parts must be cleaned by ultrasound after the finishing process. Thermal deburring is another method for meeting the high requirements for burr-free and lint-free components.

We work with all kinds of polymer materials from standard synthetics to high-performance synthetics. We have gained extensive know-how in the processing of PPSU MT, PP MT and PEEK MT etc.; typical materials that are primarily used in medical technology.

The standard containers and individual customer-specific solutions developed by EuropTec Polymer form the basis of modular packaging systems for instruments and implants. Great importance is given to the materials used in the medical sector, therefore we manufacture our packaging systems using high-performance synthetics, stainless steel or hybrid designs.

Depending on the packaging contents, we offer the necessary materials and associated manufacturing methods: deep-drawn shells made from PPSU MT, milled and marked modules made from PPSU MT and PP MT, stainless steel containers, individually manufactured and electropolished.

We offer competent support for outsourcing projects for labour-intensive assemblies. In addition to our site in Switzerland, we are able to produce complete component assemblies at our facility in Hungary. We have the necessary resources and skills in the areas of assembly, marking and manufacturing.

Silk-screen printing

We operate to the highest standard in our professionally equipped silk-screen printing facility — from data transfer through to the end product. We have the ability to print onto most synthetic materials that are used in medical technology. The printed colours depend on the demands of the medical technology.


Pad printing

Pad printing is an indirect deep printing method whereby the printed colours are transferred from the printing plate to the component by means of an elastic pad made from silicone rubber. Pad printing is an important method for printing on synthetic components.

Laser marking

Laser marking refers to the labelling or marking of components using an intensive laser beam. Laser markings are permanent and withstand the required sterilisation cycles. Engraved markings; stainless steel sterilisation containers are identified by means of engraving. This method is based upon an electrochemical process. This type of marking is waterproof and acid-resistant and is also used as a permanent form of identification.
